Job Summary and QualificationsThe Assistant Director of Supply Chain Operations is responsible for the daily operations of all functions assigned by the Supply Chain Director within the facility. The role involves managing supply chain responsibilities across selected campuses, integrating services with the hospital’s primary functions, developing and implementing policies and procedures, assessing and improving performance, orienting staff, and ensuring continuous education of departmental staff.
MajorResponsibilities
- Lead and manage all facility Supply Chain activities
- Manage the profit and loss of the facility Supply Chain operations
- Execute the infrastructure project plan, including standardization programs, SMART cleanup, master file standardization, online requisitioning, and EDI
- Facilitate the implementation of market-based purchasing projects
- Implement point of use systems
- Coordinate, manage, and evaluate facility Supply Chain personnel
- Create a supportive environment for staff development and delivery of supply chain solutions
- Raise and resolve facility-based supply chain issues and improvement opportunities
- Drive supply improvement initiatives (SII)
- Standardize products and optimize supply utilization in collaboration with Physicians and clinicians
- Manage the implementation plan, identify and mitigate risks, and monitor resource allocations
- Execute the Supply Chain Performance Measurement plan and report results to the Director of Supply Chain Operations
- Lead continuous improvement programs for supply chain functions
- Capture knowledge and promote information sharing
- Recommend sufficient qualified staff and determine staff qualifications and competence
- Develop and maintain competency checklists and attestation forms
- Control costs without compromising patient safety, quality or service delivery
- Attend mandatory education and in-service presentations (infection control, patient safety, quality improvements, MSDS, OSHA Standards)
- Manage transportation of legend drugs, non-prescription drugs, contrast media, and drug containing devices as required
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Adhere to the “Code of Conduct” and “Mission and Value Statement.”
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Three years of leadership experience preferred and/or AD program graduate preferred
