About This Role

HVAC Global Operations (Commercial and Residential) North America is seeking a skilled and experienced Strategic Inventory Specialist to join our Aftermarket team. The Strategic Inventory Specialist is responsible for developing and implementing strategies to optimize inventory control, ensuring that stock levels meet customer demand without overstocking or shortages.

Job Description
  • Data Integrity:
    Maintain accurate item records and planning parameters contributing to long-term supply chain objectives
  • Cross Functional

    Collaboration:

    Coordinate with procurement, operations, and planning teams to prevent stockouts and maintain ideal inventory levels
  • Strategic Stocking:
    Develop and implement stocking strategies to guarantee timely availability of materials for customer demand
  • Inventory Management:
    Monitor and manage inventory levels to optimize stock and reduce excess inventory
  • Data Analysis:
    Analyze material usage trends and forecast future material requirements across several sites
  • Process Improvement:
    Identify and implement process improvements to enhance material flow between warehouse sites
  • Reporting:
    Prepare and present regular reports on material status, inventory levels and supply chain performance
  • Compliance:
    Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards in all purchasing activities
Required Qualifications
  • Associate degree
  • 3+ years of experience in material planning and purchasing
  • 1+ year of data analysis (Microsoft Excel, PowerBI)
  • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time (domestic and international)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, or business administration
  • Master’s degree in supply chain management
  • Certification in APICS (Association for Supply Chain Management) or similar
  • Proficiency in material planning software and ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or JDE
  • Experience in material planning, purchasing or inventory management in a manufacturing, warehouse or distribution environment
  • Experience with international sourcing and procurement
  • Analytical and problem‑solving skills
  • English communication (verbal & written) and interpersonal skills
  • Work independently and as part of a team
  • Detail‑oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

Pay Range

The annual salary for this position is between $79,000.00 and $ annually.

Other Compensation

May be entitled to short-term cash incentives, subject to plan requirements.
