QA Inspector; Shipping & Receiving

Italian Rose Garlic Products, a Lakeview Farms company, is the category leading producer of fresh produce-based salsa in North America. We offer branded, private label, contract manufactured and food service salsa products in addition to a variety of dips, spreads and sauces.

Currently, we are looking for an entry level QA Inspector to work in the Shipping & Receiving area at our Riviera Beach, FL manufacturing facility verifying receipt of raw ingredients, packaging materials, and returned finished product. This individual will work closely with the QA Supervisor in ensuring that all food safety measures and quality parameters are being met as required.

• Verify of all incoming ingredients, packaging materials, and returned finished product to the facility to ensure integrity of product, documentation and shipment container.
• Collect and Verify COAs (Certificate of Analysis) against vendor specification and if missing, notify the vendor.
• Identify discrepancies in incoming materials when compared to product specifications.
• Verify temperature at receipt of fresh raw ingredients and performing a visual quality inspection of the product.
• Perform for freezer/cooler quality/housekeeping inspections and monitor temperatures.
• Conduct daily pre-dispatch quality checks on all product lines being shipped.
• Verify that the condition of truck, final product, and pallet configuration meet all customer requirements for all shipments.
• Responsible for completing electronic and paper logs, filing and maintaining records for all incoming and outgoing product.
• Support other QA functions as required by the Technical Services Department.

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 1-year experience in a lab environment or a food, drug, or consumer goods manufacturing environment with basic food safety knowledge
• Thorough understanding of GMPs and SOPs. Familiarity with HACCP and SQF.
• Advanced math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions and conversions; must be able to use a calculator.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (to include Excel).
• Be able to work in a cold environment for long periods of time.
• Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus
• Must be able to lift and move up to 50lbs.
• Frequently required to stand; walk; use hands or fingers, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
