About the Role
The Control Room Operator leads and directs employees who, under the direction of the shift Supervisor, oversee and direct the operation of the facility. This position is responsible for monitoring the status of all plant systems on a continuous basis, responding to alarms by taking appropriate corrective actions, executing plant shut‑down and start‑up procedures, and ensuring that the plant meets its generating requirements while operating safely and environmentally efficiently.

- Understand and train other Operators on the operating principles of the power facility’s systems, components and steam cycles.
- Maintain required logs and calculations; observe these logs for indications of faulty operation and notify the supervisor of abnormal system conditions.
- Provide guidance to Crane, Auxiliary, and Back Plant Operators to maintain a safe and efficient operation.
- Effectively monitor Reworld operations systems and have a strong working knowledge of boiler, turbine, and auxiliary equipment operations.
- Read blueprints, P&’s, and schematic specifications.
- Manage critical events and prioritize tasks for completion during emergencies, providing clear directions in operational, safety, and environmental tasks.
- Respond to operational alarms, taking immediate corrective action.
- Be required to be in the field during outages.
- Demonstrate a solid understanding of operational best practices, problem‑solve, and make sound decisions that support Reworld’s safety and operational goals.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Successful completion of the ASME QRO Provisional Licensing exam required within the first year of holding the position.
- All Control Room Operators must have strong leadership and motivational skills, and the ability to stay alert while sitting for long periods of time.
- Ability to walk, stand, sit, and climb.
- Ability to lift/carry 50 lbs.
- Ability to work from heights and in confined spaces.
- Qualify to wear a full‑face respirator.
- Consistently work in various weather conditions.
- This position works on a rotating 12‑hour shift, including weekends and some holidays. Overtime will be required.

The range below reflects Reworld’s reasonable estimate of base pay for this role based on primary posting location. It is expected that most qualified candidates in this location will fall within the posting range. The final salary offered for this role will be determined based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, education, geographic location, skills and competencies, travel requirements and/or union contracts (if applicable).
Pay ranges are reviewed from time to time and may be modified in the future.
Pay range for the primary location: $73,807.00 – $.
