SUMMARYThe Events Manager drives revenue growth by securing and stewarding special events and corporate partnerships and managing key fundraising events. Collaborates across teams to strengthen donor engagement and community visibility.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESinclude the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward events and corporate sponsors and community partners to achieve annual revenue goals.
- Lead outreach, negotiations, and sponsorship fulfillment to ensure partner satisfaction, renewals, and long-term relationships.
- Track and report event sponsorship benefits, recognition, and deliverables.
- Represent Peggy Adams at sponsored events to strengthen partnerships, enhance visibility, and support retention.
- Plan and execute key fundraising events, including Christmas Ball, Happy Tails (meeting annual fundraising goals), donor receptions, and third-party events.
- Lead fundraising and production for the annual Publicity Hound magazine, meeting revenue goals.
- Develop and implement strategies to drive fundraising, sponsorship growth, audience engagement, and donor/corporate stewardship.
- Manage event logistics including budgets, timelines, vendors, volunteers, and day-of execution in coordination with chairs, committees, and stakeholders.
- Ensure sponsor and donor recognition across events, publications, and digital platforms.
- Partner with marketing team to develop collateral, branding, and digital content for events and sponsor ships that maximize visibility and donor engagement.
- Manage our Young Professionals Group, including recruitment, engagement, communications, and event planning.
- Provide meaningful stewardship to donors, sponsors, and community partners.
- Represent Peggy Adams at community and professional events to strengthen visibility and cultivate new relationships.
- Contribute to annual development plan and donor communications calendar.
- Maintain accurate event and donor records in Raiser’s Edge and shared drives to support cultivation, stewardship, and reporting.
- Track and report event and sponsorship revenue, expenses, and outcomes; process contracts, invoices, and acknowledgments.
- Support the Development & Marketing team on mission-related events.

- Must have reliable transportation to events and meetings.
- Possession of a valid Florida drivers’ license and driving record acceptable to insurance carrier.
- Microsoft Office proficiency – Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Knowledge of Raiser’s Edge database and publishing programs, a plus.
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
