Our employer, founded in 1971, has an extensive history of addressing and meeting the needs of youth and families across the county. As the largest nonprofit youth development organization in Palm Beach County, they deliver comprehensive out-of-school-time programming at 20 freestanding and school-based Club sites throughout the county, serving over 9,500 children and teens annually. What began as a single Clubhouse has grown into a network that now comprises seven (7) freestanding Clubs and 13 school-based sites serving elementary, middle, and high Club members.
About the Role
Key Responsibilities
- Research and identify grant opportunities from federal, state, local, corporate, and foundation funding sources.
- Lead the grant development process from concept through submission, including writing compelling proposals, coordinating required documentation, and managing timelines.
- Collaborate with leadership and program staff to develop funding strategies, program budgets, and measurable outcomes.
- Manage government grant applications, funder communications, and site visits.
- Prepare grant reports and ensure compliance with post-award requirements, reporting deadlines, and grant deliverables.
- Partner with program, finance, marketing, and executive leadership to support grant-funded initiatives and organizational fundraising efforts.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with government agencies, funders, community organizations, and strategic partners.
- Represent the company at community meetings and public events to increase awareness and support for the organization's mission.
- Monitor trends in youth development and funding opportunities while supporting strategic planning and resource development initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required;
Master's degree preferred in Communications, English, Business, Nonprofit Management, or a related field. - Minimum of three years of nonprofit grant writing and resource development experience.
- Demonstrated success securing grants from private foundations and federal, state, and local government agencies.
- Experience developing grant budgets, outcome measurement frameworks, and managing grant compliance.
- Exceptional writing, communication, organizational, and project management skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and grant management systems.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and collaborate effectively across departments.
- Knowledge of grants administration and government funding processes preferred.
