As our Mentoring Volunteer Coordinator
, you'll lead efforts to recruit, engage, and support volunteers who make a meaningful impact on children and families.
- Build and maintain relationships with schools, community organizations, businesses, and local partners
- Recruit, screen, onboard, train, and support volunteers
- Match volunteers with meaningful opportunities
- Promote volunteer programs through community outreach and networking
- Serve as the primary point of contact for volunteer inquiries
- Coordinate volunteer activities, projects, and special events
- Track volunteer participation, hours, and program outcomes
- Create volunteer training materials and newsletters
- Facilitate ongoing communication with school staff, community partners, and CHS team members
- Partner with program staff to identify volunteer needs
- Contribute to a positive and engaging work environment
- Assist with special projects and organizational initiatives
- Represent CHS and our values in every interaction
You are:
- A natural relationship builder who loves connecting people around a cause
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities
- Comfortable speaking with diverse groups and community partners
- Passionate about serving children and families
- Adaptable, proactive, and energized by mission-driven work
- High School Diploma or GED
- Florida Driver's License within 30 days of hire
- Daily access to a reliable, insured vehicle
- Two years of related work experience
- One year of experience working with children and families
- Experience in social services
- Experience working with community organizations or partners
- Volunteer management or community outreach experience
- Community engagement and partnership development
- Project coordination and event planning
- Volunteer recruitment and training
- Relationship building and collaboration
- Time management and organization
- Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
