Nurse Practitioner (APRN) – Surgical Services
This daily per diem Nurse Practitioner day position is based at Wellington Regional Medical Center, a 235‑bed acute care hospital located in Wellington, Florida. The role is part of the Surgical Services team and focuses on providing high‑quality, cost‑effective patient care throughout the surgical continuum.

Job Requirements:
- Certified as an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner by the Florida State Board of Nursing (BSN, MSN)
- Current ARNP license in the state of Florida
- Current American Heart Association BLS Certification
- Current American Heart Association ACLS Certification
- Previous operating room experience (minimum 1 year)
- Basic computer skills
- CNOR preferred
The Surgical Services Nurse Practitioner is a clinical expert in the management of surgical patients.
Responsibilities include:
- Managing resources to attain high‑quality, cost‑effective care and ensuring continuity between clinical practice and standards of care.
- Providing assistance in the operating room and other similar settings, including intraoperative first assisting.
- Performing comprehensive preoperative patient care management, intraoperative surgical support, and postoperative patient care management.
- Interviewing clients, obtaining and recording health histories, performing physical and developmental assessments, ordering diagnostic tests, diagnosing health problems, managing client health care, providing health teaching and counseling, initiating referrals, and maintaining health records.
- Collaborating with physicians, nurses, and all other health‑care disciplines using an interdisciplinary approach.
- Being willing to cross‑train and float to meet institutional needs.
