The Registered Nurse uses critical thinking skills to coordinate and provide safe, quality care to patients utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.

• Assess physical, psychosocial, educational and growth and development needs of the patient
• Implement patient care
• Educate patient and family
• Demonstrate leadership skills
• Demonstrate knowledge of and adherence to hospital & departmental policies and procedures

• Education:
  
  Graduate of a Registered Nurse Program
• Experience:
  
  1–2 years in ED or ICU
• License:
  Registered Nurse

• BLS/CPR (AMERICAN HEART ASSN)
• ACLS (AMERICAN HEART ASSN)
• PALS (AMERICAN HEART ASSN) or ENPC (ENA)
• TNCC‑Provider (ENA)
• CPI (Within 30 days of hire)
• NIH STROKE certification (within 60 days of hire)
