- Registered Nurse (RN) Opportunity – Day Shift- $15,000 SIGN-ON BONUS FOR EXPERIENCED NURSES.
This full-time opportunity offers 40 hours per week, full benefits, and a convenient day shift schedule. There is an opportunity for overtime and to cover various shifts if interested.
Shift: 7am-3:30pm Monday-Friday with on call shift requirements.
The position is at Wellington Regional Medical Center in Wellington, Florida, a 235‑bed acute care hospital.
The Imaging Procedural Nurse is responsible and accountable for all nursing care provided to their patients. The nurse is accountable to the patient, Department Manager, Department Director, Medical Director, and Chief Nurse Officer. Under the direction of the Department Manager and Medical Director, the Imaging Procedural Nurse is responsible for assisting the cardiologist and other allied professionals, both technically and clinically in the assessment, planning, executing and evaluating the care of interventional patients.
The Imaging Procedural Nurse must be willing to cross‑train and float to other Imaging Service areas to meet the needs of the facility. The nurse recognizes the signs and symptoms of stroke and calls a stroke alert overhead, verbalizes the stroke alert process, performs and documents the NIHSS, administers and monitors thrombolytic therapy if the patient is deemed a candidate, prepares the patient for endovascular treatment as indicated, assumes patient care of the stroke alert while in the Interventional Radiology Department, and maintains currency in stroke knowledge by completing the NIHSS training and a minimum of 8 hours of stroke‑related training annually.
- Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program (A.D., Diploma, B.S.N., or Master's Degree in Nursing)
- Current registered nurse’s license in the State of Florida
- Minimum of two (2) years of Critical Care/IR/Cath Lab experience preferred
- Current American Heart Association BLS, ACLS certification
- Willingness to be cross‑trained to other areas
