- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Current RN licensure by Florida State Board of Nursing.
- 5 years clinical experience in acute care hospitals.
- Bachelor's Degree required, Master's in Nursing or other appropriate discipline preferred.
- BLS required (AHA).
- ACLS required (AHA).
- Certification in specialty area preferred.
- Demonstrates effectiveness in leadership, problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills.
- High tolerance for stressful situations.
- Demonstrates positive interpersonal relationship skills and strong people skills.
- Basic computer skills required.
- Must successfully pass any pre-employment assessment(s) required by the facility.
The Nursing Supervisor is a Registered Nurse who is responsible for planning, supervising, and evaluating nursing care throughout the hospital for a defined shift. The Supervisor works in conjunction with the Department Directors and Chief Nurse Executive to ensure continuous delivery of quality patient care throughout the building. The Supervisor has a thorough knowledge of The Joint Commission, ACHA, AOA, and the Florida Nurse Practice Act.
