Fulfills the needs of the patients, families, and community by performing a variety of patient care functions and tasks in accordance with licensure, certification, training, and regulatory requirements. Delivers care to patients in a competent, capable, caring, and efficient manner. Applies knowledge of growth and development over the life span necessary to provide age-appropriate care. Demonstrates the ability to obtain and interpret information in terms of the patient's needs.
Demonstrates an understanding of the range of treatment needed by patients. Makes initial assessments and determines appropriate nursing needs of assigned patients, as evidenced by appropriate documentation. Performs initial and ongoing assessments on all assigned patients, including a review of systems, as evidenced by appropriate documentation. Completes admission assessments within the time frame established, according to policy and procedures.
