The Assistant Nurse Manager in L&D is a registered nurse who, using critical thinking skills, coordinates the clinical activities within the OB areas and collaborates with other members of the health care team. She/he directly and indirectly supervises the care rendered by all OB service line staff. This individual will be competent to perform in all areas of the L&D Service, to include but not limited to OB ED Nurse, QMP, L&D Nurse, OBOR Circulator, OBOR Scrub and OBOR Orderly (Room Turnover) as required to ensure the smooth operation of the L&D Service as a whole.

Education:
Required:
Associate Degree, BSN preferred
Experience:
2-3 years RN experience in Labor & Delivery
License:
- Registered Nurse
Certifications:
- BLS/CPR (American Heart Association)
- ACLS (American Heart Association)
- NRP (American Academy of Pediatrics) within 90 days, Advanced Fetal Monitoring within 180 days
St. Mary's Medical Center (SMMC), part of the Palm Beach Health Network, is a 420-bed acute care hospital in West Palm Beach. The hospital has been serving Palm Beach County and the Treasure Coast for more than 80 years. SMMC is a Level 1 Trauma Center, a state-designated Pediatric Trauma Referral Center, certified Comprehensive Stroke Center, and has a level III NICU.
Pediatric services are provided at the Palm Beach Children's Hospital y's Medical Center, which is the only dedicated children's hospital between Ft. Lauderdale and Orlando. Along with 24/7 dedicated pediatric emergency and trauma care, Palm Beach Children's Hospital medical staff consists of 196 pediatricians in 36 subspecialties.
