Role Description

The Clinical Research Nurse is a full-time, on-site role located in West Palm Beach, FL. This position is responsible for coordinating and implementing clinical research studies, including patient screening, enrollment, informed consent, and ongoing participant monitoring. The Clinical Research Nurse will administer study-related treatments and procedures, collect and document clinical data, and ensure protocol adherence and regulatory compliance. Day-to-day tasks include collaborating with physicians, research coordinators, and multidisciplinary teams, maintaining accurate study records, and reporting adverse events according to institutional and regulatory guidelines.

The role also involves educating participants and families about study procedures, supporting quality improvement initiatives, and contributing to a safe, ethical research environment.

Qualifications
  • Clinical research skills, including study coordination, patient screening and enrollment, informed consent, and data collection.
  • Strong nursing skills such as patient assessment, medication administration, monitoring of treatment response, and documentation of clinical findings.
  • Knowledge of research ethics, regulatory guidelines, and Good Clinical Practice (GCP), with experience in IRB processes and protocol compliance.
  • Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR), research databases, and basic data management and reporting tools.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills to work effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple studies and priorities while maintaining accurate records.
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Florida; BSN preferred.
  • Prior experience in clinical research, oncology, cardiology, neuroscience, or other acute care settings is highly beneficial.
  • Certification in clinical research (e.g., CCRC, CCRN, or similar) or willingness to obtain certification is a plus.
