Position SummaryThe Perioperative Acute Care Assistant Nurse Manager is a registered nurse who coordinates clinical activities within a specific unit and collaborates with other members of the health care team. The role facilitates leadership on offshifts, directs the flow of cases and care within all surgical services (OR, PACU, SPD), and collaborates with the house supervisor. The nurse directly and indirectly supervises the care rendered by ancillary staff, focuses on unit‑based performance improvement, and serves as a resource instructor for competency assessment specific to units.
The manager facilitates patient safety goals, implements, collects, and measures PI performance, reviews nursing documentation for accuracy, assists with staff scheduling, fills in during absences of managers, and acts as a role model to enhance clinical practice excellence and support evidence‑based programs.

Education:
- Required:
Associate Degree - Preferred:
Bachelor's Degree
Experience:

2 years experience as RN, preferably in OR/PACU/outpatient or ambulatory setting. - Preferred:
Leadership experience
License:
- Registered Nurse
Certifications:
- BLS/CPR at hire (American Heart Association)
- ACLS/PALS certifications or within 90 days
