POSITION SUMMARY

The position is responsible for ensuring that all products manufactured meet or exceed quality standards as well as all safety, environmental and ISO requirements. Implement continuous improvement initiatives in the manufacturing and QC environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Manage QC lab and process (80%):
    Ensure lab testing results are filed and entered into the QC database (JDE); maintain calibration and 5S; coordinate with production to support quality product flow; identify improvements in QC analysis and equipment.
  • Data collection and analysis (20%):
    Solve problems, communicate solutions, present technical data using Microsoft Office; support root‑cause analysis of nonconforming products.
  • Lead Quality Control Ways of Working (daily):
    Prioritize tasks, delegate, maintain team culture, and provide timely escalation and feedback.
  • Support field‑test complaints and maintain ISO traceability of CoAs, MSDS, and calibration records.
  • Provide data and KPI reports to QC Champion and Regional QC Managers.
REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
  • Associate’s degree in science or engineering or 3–5 years of QC laboratory experience.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and ability to present technical data.
  • Excellent organizational, verbal, written, and mathematical skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills; meticulous and able to manage multiple projects.
  • Knowledge of chemistry: cementitious chemistry, epoxy liquids, latex, and/or LATICRETE product lines.
  • Evidence of QC lab workflow improvements and project leadership.
  • Travel requirement: 0–5%.
  • Physical requirements:

    lift up to 50 pounds; push/pull up to 50 pounds; stand up to 75% of the day; sit up to 25% of the day; twist/bend up to 25% of the day; squat/climb/crawl up to 25% of the day.
