Quality Technician
We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Technician to join our team. In this role, you will perform quality inspections on materials, parts, and assemblies throughout the manufacturing process to ensure products meet company and customer quality standards. The Quality Technician plays a critical role in maintaining product quality, verifying compliance with work instructions and procedures, and ensuring that all parts, tools, and equipment are operating properly and are safe for use.
Inspect incoming materials used in production to verify quality standards are met. Perform in-process and final inspections on welded, fabricated, and assembled products. Ensure all tools, machinery, and equipment are functioning properly and safe to use before and during production activities. Identify and report defective materials, equipment concerns, or safety issues. Verify that employees follow established procedures, work instructions, and safety requirements.
Document inspection findings accurately on required quality forms and production travelers. Conduct audits of staged parts, labels, assemblies, and finished products. Inspect and report on returned products (RGA). Recommend improvements to product quality, inspection processes, workplace safety, and manufacturing efficiency. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Collaborate with production teams to resolve quality and safety concerns. Perform other duties as assigned.
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, work instructions, and safety documentation. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Ability to communicate effectively with team members and production personnel. Basic math skills, including measurements, fractions, and decimals. Experience using inspection and measuring tools such as tape measures, calipers, micrometers, protractors, and thread gauges preferred.
Manufacturing or quality inspection experience. Knowledge of welding, fabrication, and assembly processes. Understanding of workplace safety requirements and quality management principles. Ability to identify equipment issues and ensure a safe operating environment.
