Overview

BJ’s Wholesale Club is a membership warehouse club with over 250 clubs across the United States. Our team of more than 30,000 members provides service to families, stocking shelves, and shaping strategy. The role of a Team Member is to deliver prompt, courteous service, maintain a clean and organized sales floor, and support club policies and procedures.

The Team Member works across the sales floor, providing members with prompt and courteous service, replenishing and stocking merchandise, and ensuring the sales floor is clean, neat, and fully organized. The role requires teamwork, adherence to club policies, and a commitment to member satisfaction.

• Provide members with prompt and courteous service and assistance.
• Replenish, refills, stocks, and straightens merchandise.
• Ensure proper signage of merchandise.
• Keep sales floor clean, neat, and fully organized.
• Replenish milk, dairy, freezer, food, and non‑food merchandise.
• Fold and organize apparel, books, and other merchandise.
• Remove empty cardboard from the sales floor, shelves, display cases, and replenish box bins.
• Use a cardboard baler to dispose of cardboard.
• Return all returned and re‑shop merchandise to the sales floor.
• Maintain all club policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned, including working in other departments as needed.

Must successfully complete required training and certification processes. Strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail are required.

Most of the time is spent moving about continuously on hard surfaces. Frequently requires bending, climbing, crawling, pulling, reaching, stooping, and climbing ladders/step stools. Frequently requires lifting objects up to 30 pounds, and may require lifting and moving heavy and/or awkward objects more than 30 pounds with assistance. Requires using a pallet jack to pull and push pallets. Frequently exposed to company‑authorized cleaning agents and to indoor and outdoor temperatures, including occasional exposure to extreme temperatures in freezers and coolers.

Starting hourly pay is $16.00. Actual salaries vary by location, education, experience, and qualifications.
