Assistant Grocery Manager

Plum Market seeks an Assistant Grocery Manager to help lead daily store operations in a fresh, natural, and organic grocery setting. You'll support the Grocery Manager with team leadership, scheduling, and coaching, while ensuring fully stocked, visually appealing shelves and accurate pricing. Oversee ordering and inventory to minimize waste, uphold food safety and sanitation standards, and resolve guest issues with warmth and professionalism.

Collaborate across departments, model Plum Market's hospitality-focused culture, and help train and develop team members for future growth opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Support Grocery Manager with daily store and department operations
• Lead, train, and coach team members to deliver outstanding guest service
• Manage inventory, ordering, and stock levels to reduce waste and out-of-stocks
• Maintain accurate pricing, signage, and visually appealing merchandising
• Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and store policies
• Assist with scheduling, labor planning, and task delegation
• Resolve guest issues promptly and professionally
• Collaborate with other departments to support promotions and store events
• Monitor sales performance and help execute sales and margin goals
• Model Plum Market's hospitality-focused culture and support staff development
