The Sales Representative position offers an exciting chance to fuel our company’s growth. You’ll oversee a broad array of independent convenience store customers, driving sales through our varied food service and convenience programs. Your role extends beyond maintaining existing customers; it involves tapping into new customers and forging strong business relationships. The role is a thrilling journey of building success stories and enhancing profitability store by store, with compensation directly reflecting these achievements.
Responsibilities- Grow sales and profit margins through execution of sales strategy and territory management, planning a sales approach customized with individual customers.
- Prospect and onboard new customer accounts, including cold‑calling to build a robust pipeline of opportunities.
- Educate customers on convenience and food service programs, new product promotions, marketing policies, service, delivery specifics, and industry activities.
- Review daily, weekly, and monthly reports with the store manager and assist with opportunities that may arise.
- Minimize accounts receivable problems by monitoring accounts for compliance with credit terms and following up on any issues.
- Maintain awareness of pricing trends within the sales territory, particularly for products, to ensure competitive pricing.
- Identify opportunities for campaigns, services, and distribution channels that will lead to increased sales.
- Participate in relevant industry events and networking opportunities.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Proven success with closing B2B sales for a variety of product lines.
- Strong sales ledger travel and effective time‑management experience.
- General knowledge of food safety standards, including basic HACCP practice and cold‑chain integrity, and must maintain Serv‑Safe certification.
- Detail‑minded and organized, able to work independently with little direction.
- Strong communication and presentation skills with a demonstrated ability to conduct professional, results‑driven customer presentations.
- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI.
- Energetic and entrepreneurial spirit.
- Sales professional with experience and a track record of growing market share.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Must own a reliable vehicle with a valid driver’s license and auto insurance.
- Minimum of 2 years of B2B sales and consulting experience mandatory.
