LocationIdeal candidate must reside on the Southeast coast, preferably within Broward County, Boca Raton, West Palm Beach, Ft. Lauderdale, or Hollywood.
Job PurposeResponsible for sales of Edelman, Knoll Textiles, and Maharam products to a specific client roster and geography. The role includes traveling to client locations, building client relationships, and ensuring product familiarity and brand awareness.
Key Responsibilities- Travel to client locations and develop ongoing relationships with firms and individuals.
- Provide entertainment to clients through meals, events, and industry functions.
- Present new Maharam products to clients, specifying interior finishes via the EASIER acronym.
- Handle product/project involvement with specifying clients, end-users, and buying customers.
- Provide product information (aesthetic and functional) and develop pricing strategy, navigating delivery aspects and “need by” dates.
- Maintain and manage the resource library, replacing missing samples and merchandising Maharam sampling effectively.
- Supervise inside sales support of the sales coordinator.
- Maintain client data base management and produce magnitude and relationship reports.
- Report to the Manager, Regional Sales and may receive additional assignments from the VP, Sales.
- Collaborate with specifying clients, purchasing customers, end-users, and internal departments such as resource management, QA, credit, and key client services.
- Ability to connect with people via one-on-one and group interactions, presenting a social and engaging demeanor.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Problem resolution skills for issues such as price, delivery, OA, or installation.
- Organized, able to multitask, and retain high-level product, project, client, and process information.
- Ability to work independently following Maharam protocol and process.
- Computer proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word) and ability to learn Don and other Maharam specific functions.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent;
Interior Design preferred. - Sales experience preferred but not required.
