Security Officer Part Time Service Gate – West Palm Beach, FL

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour

Job Schedule: Day Time Thu 01:00 PM - 07:00 PM, Fri 07:00 AM - 01:00 PM, Sun 01:00 PM - 07:00 PM

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by following site‑specific procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities at a utilities location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and unusual activity in a calm, problem‑solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security‑related concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter routes to help deter unauthorized activity and identify maintenance, access control, and operational issues.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or authorizations as required, and assist with visitor, vehicle, and contractor processing according to site procedures.
• Support emergency and weather‑related responses by communicating relevant information, directing people according to posted instructions, and coordinating with site personnel and/or first responders when appropriate.

• At least 2 years of security‑related experience.
• Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Guard card is required.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation will be conducted in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.
• Criminal history will be considered in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Drug screen may be required to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
