** What You'll Do:*
* + Provide customer service by carrying out security-related screening procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.

+ Screen visitors, staff, and/or deliveries entering the location by using approved screening equipment, checking permitted items, and reporting prohibited or unusual items according to post procedures.

+ Monitor entry points and help to deter unauthorized access by verifying identification, confirming access permissions, and directing individuals to the appropriate area.

+ Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or emergency responders as needed.

+ Prepare clear reports of screening activities, incidents, and/or policy violations, and maintain accurate logs related to daily post operations.

* Minimum Requirements:

*
* + Have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or possess a college degree.

+ Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.

+ Be 21 or more years of age.

+ Customer service experience is preferred.

+ The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.

+ Guard card is required.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

+ A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
