What You'll Do:

* Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by following site-specific procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities at a utilities location.

* Respond to incidents, alarms, and unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.

* Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter routes to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify maintenance, access control, and operational issues.

* Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or authorizations as required, and assist with visitor, vehicle, and contractor processing according to site procedures.

* Support emergency and weather-related responses by communicating relevant information, directing people according to post instructions, and coordinating with site personnel and/or first responders when appropriate.

Minimum Requirements:

* At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.

* Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.

* Customer service experience is preferred.

* Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

* Access control and badge experience is preferred.

* Be at least 21 years of age for unarmed role.

* Guard card is required.

* Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

* As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

* Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

* As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

* Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

* A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
