What You'll Do:

* Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and the public by carrying out screening procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a government location.

* Screen entrants and personal belongings using assigned screening equipment and established post procedures, and report prohibited items and/or unusual activity to the appropriate personnel.

* Monitor access points, verify identification and authorization as required, and help to deter unauthorized entry into restricted and/or controlled areas.

* Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with supervisors and/or local authorities as needed.

* Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, noting security-related concerns, access control issues, and/or environmental conditions that may require attention.

Minimum Requirements:

* Be at least 21 years of age.

* Have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or possess a college degree.

* Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.

* Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.

* Hold a CPR certification preferred.

* Guard card is required.

* Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

* As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

* Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

* As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

* Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

* A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
