What You'll Do:

* Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.

* Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns according to site protocols.

* Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized access and identify conditions that may require attention.

* Monitor entry and exit points, verify access credentials as directed by site policy, and assist with visitor processing and/or delivery coordination.

* Support Allied Universal and site personnel during drills, inspections, and/or operational events while maintaining awareness of changing conditions across the location.

Minimum Requirements:

* Have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.

* Possess an armed guard card or license.

* Possess an active DoD Secret Clearance.

* Be at least 21 years of age.

* Possess a DD214 with Honorable Discharge, an Associate's Degree, 60 college credits, a Police Academy Certificate, or a Corrections Academy Certificate.

* Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

* As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

* Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

* As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

* Participate in industry-specific security training programs.

* Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

* A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
