The Installation Operations Manager is a hands-on field leader responsible for managing and guiding installation technicians through every phase of a project — from rough-in to trim-out and final system testing.
This person ensures installations meet ETC Florida’s technical and aesthetic standards, coordinates closely with project managers, and maintains a professional presence on high-end residential job sites.

Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Supervision
- Lead and support a team of installation technicians on multiple job sites.
- Assign daily tasks, track progress, and ensure work meets quality standards and deadlines.
- Provide on-site guidance, technical troubleshooting, and mentorship to junior installers.
- Maintain clear communication with Site Supervisors, and other trades.
- Oversee and participate in the installation of structured cabling, AV equipment, lighting control, motorized shading, and network systems.
- Ensure all components are installed to design specifications, with attention to detail and visual cleanliness.
- Verify system functionality and assist with testing, programming, and commissioning.
- Maintain accurate records of materials used and work completed.
- Conduct quality control checks throughout each phase of installation.
- Enforce company safety standards and proper tool/equipment use.
- Ensure that work areas are clean, organized, and professional at all times — reflecting ETC Florida’s premium brand.
- Communicate effectively with builders, electricians, designers, and other trades on-site.
- Identify potential issues early and collaborate with the project team to resolve them quickly.
- Assist in scheduling and logistics for equipment delivery and installation milestones.
Required:
- 7+ years of experience in custom AV, smart home, lighting control, or related low-voltage installation.
- Strong understanding of structured cabling, rack building, device mounting, and signal flow.
- Proven experience supervising small field teams or leading crews on job sites.
- Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and construction drawings.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Professional demeanor appropriate for luxury residential environments.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Experience with Crestron, Lutron, Control4, or Savant systems.
- Knowledge of residential networking and Wi-Fi infrastructure.
- Certifications such as CEDIA, CTS, or manufacturer training.
- Meticulous attention to detail and pride in craftsmanship.
- Natural leadership and mentoring ability.
- Calm and resourceful when problem-solving on site.
- Commitment to quality, safety, and client satisfaction.
- Enthusiastic about new technologies and continual learning.
- ***$80,000-$100,000 salary range***
