Plumber
This role involves working on a new construction job site, installing and brazing copper piping for building systems. You will interpret and work from blueprints and plans, perform plumbing installations both above ground and underground, and complete tasks independently with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities- Install, fit, and braze copper piping on a new construction job site in accordance with project specifications and building codes.
- Read, interpret, and work from blueprints, drawings, and technical plans to determine pipe routes, fixture locations, and installation requirements.
- Perform underground plumbing work in a hospital construction environment, ensuring proper layout, slope, and connection of piping systems.
- Measure, cut, thread, and assemble pipes and fittings using appropriate tools and techniques for copper and PVC piping.
- Install piping, plumbing fixtures, and related components safely and accurately, following industry standards and site-specific procedures.
- Work independently to plan and complete assigned plumbing tasks, managing time and materials effectively.
- Assist with general labor tasks related to plumbing installation, such as material handling, site preparation, and cleanup.
- Inspect completed work to verify proper installation, identify issues, and make adjustments or repairs as needed.
- Follow all safety guidelines and construction site rules while working around other trades and equipment.
- Hands-on experience in plumbing work on new construction job sites.
- Proficiency in working with copper piping, including measuring, cutting, and fitting.
- Ability to braze pipes safely and effectively using appropriate tools and methods.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings for plumbing installations.
- Experience performing underground plumbing work in a hospital or similar large facility environment.
- Capability to work independently with minimal supervision and complete assigned tasks on schedule.
- Knowledge of basic construction practices and general labor tasks related to plumbing.
- Familiarity with installing PVC piping and related plumbing components.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience installing and assembling a variety of piping systems in commercial or institutional construction settings.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced construction environment alongside multiple trades.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate pipe routing, secure connections, and leak-free systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot installation issues and adjust piping or layouts as needed.
- Reliable work habits, including punctuality and consistent adherence to safety procedures.

Work takes place on an active new construction job site, including hospital underground areas and above-ground spaces. You will use standard plumbing and construction tools to install copper and PVC piping, perform brazing, and complete general labor tasks. The role typically requires being on your feet for extended periods, working in various positions, and occasionally in confined or underground spaces.
Appropriate work attire and personal protective equipment are required in accordance with site safety standards.
This is a contract position based out of West Palm Beach, FL.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $28.00 - $32.00/hr.
