Supervisor - TEACUP Preemie Program

The TEACUP Preemie Program® Supervisor is the clinical and administrative lead of the program, overseeing all aspects of the program’s operations under the direct supervision of the Chief Program Officer. The program supervisor is responsible for ensuring that all activities of the program align with TEACUP’s mission. This position also provides direct services including assessments, individual support, groups and breast pump lending to mothers/parents who have a premature infant.

Services may be provided in the hospital NICU, community, office or client home. Duties involve travel and occasional evening and weekend hours.

• Manage all program inquiries and referrals
• Assess families for program appropriateness and needs
• Assume lead responsibility for the coordination of NICU/virtual groups;
  Facilitate NICU/virtual groups
• Provide case management – assist in identifying family needs and appropriate resources, serve as an advocate, work with other care providers as necessary
• Provide education, information, and emotional support to participating families
• Oversee breast pump lending, including distribution and recovery of breast pumps
• Act as a liaison and appropriate representative for the agency with community agencies, hospitals and other organizations
• Participate in the development and maintenance of relationships with vendors, partners and referral sources
• Assist in the acquisition and management of program resources
• Maintain program data and current statistics reflecting services provided/outcomes
• Supervise program staff and volunteers to ensure quality performance
• Maintain required records and ensure quality of the documents
• Follow program policies and procedures

• Master degree in Social Work, Child Life, or Human Services related field with 2 years’ minimum experience.
• Bilingual (Spanish or Haitian Creole) a plus
• NICU and or hospital experience - highly preferred
• Any of the following a strong plus: supervisory experience, experience w/premature infants and their families, case management and group facilitation experience
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Access, Excel; experience with online database platforms
• Must pass a Level II background screen
• Ability to work flexible hours throughout the week to meet program/agency needs, including weekends and evenings as necessary
