Software Engineer PHP

We are seeking a Software Engineer PHP for our team in West Palm Beach, FL. • We need at least 3 years of professional software development experience, with strong hands-on expertise in modern PHP 8+ and frameworks such as Laravel, Symfony, or Slim.
• We need experience building RESTful APIs using current design standards.
• We need experience with Redis for caching, distributed locking, queueing, and performance tuning.
• We need experience working with cloud platforms such as Vultr, AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or Azure, along with infrastructure-as-code tools.
• We need strong MySQL knowledge, including schema design and query optimization for high-volume systems.
• We need familiarity with message queues and asynchronous processing technologies such as RabbitMQ, Kafka, SQS, or Redis Streams.
• We need familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing frameworks, and Git-based development practices.
• We need proficiency with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• We need excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with distributed teams.

• We design, build, and maintain high-performance PHP applications that handle millions of API requests each day.
• We design and tune MySQL schemas, queries, and indexes for speed and reliability.
• We implement and support RESTful APIs aligned with modern API standards, including OpenAPI and versioning best practices.
• We develop asynchronous workflows, background jobs, queues, and event-driven integrations where needed.
• We take part in architecture discussions, incident response, and root-cause analysis for production issues.
• We participate in code reviews and help strengthen our engineering best practices.
• We write clean, well-tested code with thorough unit and integration test coverage.
