Fleet Inspector

Good Greek Moving & Storage is a leading relocation expert offering storage, trash removal, auto transport, realty services, and concierge services. We are looking for a Safety Inspector to ensure compliance, safety, and accident prevention across our operations. This role supports drivers, crews, and applicants to maintain the highest safety standards.

Overnight shift required: 5:00 pm‑5:00 am.

• Inspect vehicles or other equipment for evidence of abuse, damage, or mechanical malfunction.
• Ensure compliance with rules, standards, or regulations during vehicle or equipment inspections.
• Examine transportation vehicles, equipment, or systems to detect damage, wear, or malfunction.
• Conduct vehicle or transportation equipment tests using diagnostic equipment.
• Inspect repairs to transportation vehicles or equipment to ensure repair work was performed properly.
• Prepare reports on investigations or inspections and actions taken.
• Issue notices and recommend corrective actions when infractions or problems are found.
• Investigate complaints regarding safety violations.
• Walk the lot throughout the shift clearing any debris.
• Perform minor maintenance on fleet, such as changing headlights and wipers.
• Support warehouse operations.
• Other duties as directed by management or ownership.

• Strong understanding of FMCSA and DOT safety regulations.
• Solid knowledge of the truckload transportation industry.
• Strong attention to detail with ability to identify risks and hazards.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure environment.
• Strong organizational and time‑management skills.
• Ability to respond to urgent safety situations when needed.
• Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Dependable, trustworthy, and highly responsible.

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in transportation safety, compliance, or inspection.
• Experience with driver evaluations, vehicle inspections, and regulatory compliance preferred.
