Position Overview
As a Management Trainee, you will participate in our Operations Management Trainee Program. This entry-level training position includes an intensive 16‑week program designed to prepare you for your initial leadership/supervisory role in operations. Under the direction of a mentor, you will learn the basic principles of the transportation industry, efficient cross‑dock operations, effective leadership communication, and relationship building skills.
Responsibilities- Complete the leadership training program requiring guided, independent study.
- Interface with appropriate Support Center and Service Center associates in the completion of various aspects of the training program daily.
- Accompany and observe an Account Manager during customer sales calls.
- Accompany drivers on local delivery routes to gain an understanding of the freight delivery process on occasion.
- Participate in the 16‑week training program and relocate to another facility for your first leadership role in Operations upon completion.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Transportation or Logistics, or at least two years of related work experience.
- Acceptable driving history that aligns with company standards.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including effective listening abilities.
- Professional demeanor and appearance, maintaining a strong work ethic.
- Basic computer skills.
- Flexibility and readiness to relocate as needed.
Average Annual Starting Pay: $50,000–$60,000.
Work Shift:
Third Shift.
