Local CDL A or B Driver

Position Purpose

The CDL Driver at SRS is responsible for ensuring safe, timely delivery of building materials to job sites, verifying inventory, following safety protocols, and maintaining high service standards. The role supports operational efficiency and fosters strong customer relationships through professionalism, teamwork, and responsiveness.

• Conduct thorough vehicle inspections and verify inventory accuracy.
• Ensure secure, damage‑free deliveries and assess job site conditions to prevent hazards.
• Collaborate with customers for material placement and document deliveries with photos per company policy.
• Load and unload materials, using forklifts or manual methods, handling items up to 100lbs.
• Work in varied weather and noisy environments while following all safety regulations.
• Read and interpret job‑related documents in English.
• Maintain high safety compliance through inspections and adherence to DOT/OSHA regulations.

• Valid CDL ClassA or B with air brakes endorsement and a clean driving record.
• 1–2years of relevant commercial driving experience.
• Proficiency operating forklifts and handling materials in varied conditions.
• Effective communication skills in English.
• Age 18+ (21 for interstate/hazmat routes).
• Pass background checks, drug tests, E‑Verify, and FMCSA Clearinghouse verification.

• Hazmat endorsement.
• Strong vehicle maintenance skills and experience with multi‑drop deliveries.
• Familiarity with fleet management systems.
• Commitment to continuous improvement and multilingual abilities.

• Commercial Driver’s License (CDLA or CDLB) with Air Brakes Endorsement.
• Current DOT Medical Certificate.
• Forklift Certification (preferred).
• FMCSA Registration (required).

The role involves long hours, fast‑paced schedules, and varying weather conditions while traveling within a 200‑mile radius—no overnight stays. Deliveries are made on a schedule, requiring on‑site coordination and occasional yard support. Success requires adaptability, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to safety and customer service.
