Position: Truck Driver CDL A Local Home Daily

Position Description

Ryder is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver in West Palm Beach, FL offering weekly pay and excellent benefits.

Pay & Bonuses
  • Weekly pay: $1400 or more per week
  • Hourly pay: $20.00 per hour
  • Hours per week: 60+ hours (overtime after 40 hours)
  • Safety bonus: $200 quarterly
  • Paid training
  • Schedule:

    Monday – Friday, start time 4:00 PM
Job Duties
  • Deliver SOLO within Florida (local home daily) using a Day Cab Flatbed tractor trailer
  • Flatbed experience required (1 year)
  • Route: local home daily
  • Trailer type:
    Flatbed
  • Equipment:
    Moffet
  • Freight: load securement, various electrical equipment and materials
  • Endorsements:
    Hazmat (within 90 days of hire). Ryder reimburses costs and provides training to obtain endorsements

Requirements
  • Minimum 21 years of age
  • Class A CDL with appropriate endorsements
  • Minimum 9 months experience within last 3 years, or 2 years within last 5 years, or 5 years within last 10 years
  • Pass a Ryder drug test
  • Pass a Ryder background and motor vehicle check (including verification from previous employers for last 3 years)
  • Pass a DOT physical
  • Pass a Ryder road test
  • Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
  • Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies and/or procedures
Responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
  • Detect and eliminate or minimize safety hazards, maintain accurate records and logs
  • Load/unload freight or assist in loading/unloading freight if required by the customer
  • Perform other duties as assigned
