The Work You Will DoHighway Maintenance Tech II / District Four/Director of Operations / District Maintenance / West Palm Beach Maintenance – Field Support
This position will assist with maintaining records of operation. Prepares and maintains daily paperwork such as crew activity reports and daily vehicle check lists. Operates vehicles and a variety of medium and heavy equipment. Performs preventative maintenance and pre-trip and post-trip inspections on equipment operated. Performs manual labor in the maintenance of highways, bridges and other highway facilities while utilizing a variety of hand, pneumatic, and electrical tools.

Annual Salary Range$36,342.66 - $47,031.67
A Competitive Area Differential (CAD) additive in the amount of $1,934.40 will be added to the annual salary.
Your Specific Responsibilities- Upon receipt of the required CDL Instructional permit or license; operates a variety of vehicles and mechanized equipment to include backhoe, tractors with attachments, crew cabs and dump truck.
- Performs pre-trip inspection/minor maintenance on vehicles/equipment that they are operating. Cleans and washes equipment.
- Uses a variety of hand, pneumatic and electrical tools to maintain bridges and roadways.
- Performs independent manual labor incidental to job assignments at an intermediate level of complexity with minimal supervision.
- Assists in maintaining a chemical herbicide program along highway rights-of-way.
- Performs rough carpentry, masonry, painting and/or assist in the assembly and erection of highway signs.
