Ozark Action, Inc. has immediate opening for an Early Head Start Teacher at the West Plains Head Start in West Plains, Missouri.
Credentialed (Rg 13) $16.21; EHS Teacher I (Rg 12) $17.30 per hour; EHS Teacher II (Rg 11) $18.37 per hour; EHS Teacher III (Rg 10) $19.46 per hour.
Non-credentialed staff start at Range 14: $15.13 per hour.
Hours:
Monday – Friday (36 – 40 hours) (C9) during school year;
Benefits after 90 days.
To promote the social, emotional, and educational development of children and to provide support and guidance to parents and families to integrate classroom activities with home activities and to assist families in meeting the ongoing needs of the children. To provide direction to classroom support staff.
Education and Experience- Credentialed EHS Teacher — High School Diploma or HiSET and Infant‑Toddler CDA, or comparable credentials.
- Credentialed Teacher — High School Diploma or HiSET and Preschool CDA, or comparable credentials.
- Teacher I — EHS and HS — Associates Degree in Early Childhood or equivalent coursework approved by the Director that meets Head Start Performance Standards. Infant‑Toddler specific coursework required for EHS placement.
- Teacher II — EHS and HS — Baccalaureate Degree in Early Childhood or related field with minimum of 12 Early Childhood credits. Infant‑Toddler specific coursework required for EHS placement.
- Teacher III — EHS and HS — Master’s Degree in Early Childhood or related field with a minimum of 12 Early Childhood credits. Infant‑Toddler specific coursework required for EHS placement.
- Meet established child development outcomes; ability to stand, sit, crawl, climb, kneel, walk, carry, balance, stoop, see, hear, talk, and lift.
- Ensure compliance with program regulations and standards; maintain accurate records and documentation.
- Contribute to team effort.
- Promote the Head Start program.
- Develop professional and technical knowledge.
