Description of Primary Duties
- Work with fellow students individually or in small groups to help with organization, development, style, and sentence level issues. Tutors do not fix papers; they support students written work to help them become more independent and confident writers.
Required Qualifications

A. Must have an overall GPA of 3.0 with at least a 3.2 in the subject area. Letter of recommendation from an English teacher is required. Previous experience tutoring isn't required but it's desirable. A willingness to learn, interest in tutoring students for success, and enthusiasm to help others become better writers are necessary for the job. Ability to tutor other subjects is also a plus.
Work study students who meet these criteria especially welcome.
