Missouri State University is hiring a Writing Tutor. The role involves working individually or with small groups of students to support their writing skills, focusing on organization, development, style, and sentence-level issues to help them become independent and confident writers.
Highlights- Assist students one-on-one or in small groups with writing organization, development, style, and sentence-level concerns.
- Support students' written work without directly correcting their papers.
- Required to have passed ENG 110 with an A and maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA overall and 3.2 in the subject area.
- Letter of recommendation from an English teacher is mandatory.
- Previous tutoring experience is desirable but not required.
- Salary is $15.00 per hour.
- Work 5 to 15 hours per week within department hours of 8 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday.

West Plains Grizzly Tutoring Lab. - Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
- Additional tutoring abilities in other subjects are a plus.
