Adjunct/Per Course Faculty, Music (Summer/Fall 2026)
Missouri State University-West Plains seeks adjunct faculty to teach Music courses. Applicants will be considered for a potential course in either the summer or fall semester of 2026. The position is a one‑term appointment and does not currently have an open seat. Applications are evaluated to establish a pool of qualified candidates for future openings.
Position InformationTitle: Adjunct/Per Course Faculty, Music (Summer/Fall 2026)
Location: West Plains Campus
Department: West Plains Arts, Letters, Mathematics, and Natural Sciences
Term: Summer or Fall semester, 2026
Start Dates: Summer – 01 June 2026, Fall – 17 August 2026
- Teach assigned music course(s) during the term
- Grade student work in a timely manner and submit grades by required deadlines
- Be available to assist students with course‑related matters
- Submit attendance records and complete course assessments by the specified deadlines
- Participate in required professional development training
- Adhere to the university’s policies on academic integrity and conduct
- Master’s degree in music or a related field (or equivalent professional experience recognized by the Dean)
- Bachelor’s degree may be considered in certain subject areas as determined by the Dean
- Valid teaching credentials, certificates, or licenses as applicable (to be provided upon hire)
- Demonstrated ability to teach at the university level and to conduct assessments
Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a full‑time basis and are not eligible for visa sponsorship.
Employment requires a criminal background check at university expense.
