Missouri State University-West Plains accepts applications for Adjunct Faculty to establish a pool of available candidates. By submitting an application for this posting you are applying to be a part of Missouri State University’s Adjunct Faculty pool for a potential course that may be offered in the applicable semester. - Teach assigned course(s) in HIT/Medical Coding.
- Grading students’ work in a timely manner.
- Be available to assist students with course‑related matters.
- Submit attendance and midterm/final grades by required deadlines.
- Complete course assessments on time.
- Participate in required training.
- Teach classes that may be scheduled during the day or evening hours in seated, online, blended, or interactive video formats.
- Master’s degree or the equivalent professional experience in a field determined acceptable by the Dean.
- Bachelor’s degree may be acceptable in certain subject areas as determined by the Dean.
- Current medical coding credential from AHIMA or AAPC (CCS, CCS‑P, or CPC) that is active.
