Job Details:

• Work 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM shift schedule

• 13-week contract assignment

• Treat 15-20 patients daily

• No call responsibilities required

• Minimum 1 year of radiation therapy experience required

• Required certifications: BLS and ARRT (T) at time of submission

• Work with Varian iX treatment system and ARIA record & verify systems

• Perform pretreatment procedures including CT/iCT, CT Simulation, MRI, and PET Scan

• Conduct beam modifying and positioning including block cutting and CBCT/kV/mV imaging

• Design treatment plans, calculate radiation doses, and supervise implementation

• Provide treatment for various conditions including benign brain tumors, craniospinal treatments, and total body/skin irradiation

• Assist with internal treatments including hyperthermia and brachytherapy procedures

• Treat patients with various cancers including Hodgkin's Lymphoma, kidney cancer, and leukemia

• Perform general patient care skills including IV starts, patient/family teaching, and emergency procedures

• Maintain radiation safety protocols and isolation precautions

• Must be available to work some holidays with minimal time off requests

• 60-mile radius restriction applies with no local candidates accepted

Facility:

This medical center provides comprehensive radiation therapy services with advanced technology and equipment. The facility maintains a daily census of approximately 10 patients and offers interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams. The radiation oncology department is equipped with state-of-the-art treatment systems and provides a full range of radiation therapy treatments for adult patients with various cancer diagnoses.

Adex Job . Pay package is based on 8 hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
