Proposed Salary $17.50 hourly

General Function

The MSU West Plains campus is seeking a dependable and safety-focused Part-Time CDL Driver to support campus transportation operations.

Description of Primary Duties
  • Operate university shuttle buses to safely transport students, faculty, staff, and visitors to designated locations in accordance with university schedules and special event needs.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure vehicles are safe, clean, and in good working order.
  • Report any incidents or maintenance issues promptly.
  • Maintain accurate records including mileage logs, inspection reports, and incident documentation.
  • Provide courteous, timely, and professional service, promoting a positive image of the university.
  • Comply with all DOT , state, local, and university transportation regulations and policies.
Minimum Acceptable Qualifications
  • Valid Class B CDL license with a Passenger Endorsement required.
  • Must have proven safety track record.
Additional Qualifications
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work a flexible, part-time schedule including mornings, evenings, or weekends as needed.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods.
  • Must be able to climb steps, bend, and perform basic vehicle inspection tasks.
