Instructional Design Assistant

The academic operations team is hiring additional support in instructional design, to support our rapidly growing online programs. Reporting to the Curriculum and Assessment Manager, the Instructional Design Assistant is an hourly, part-time position (maximum 20 hours per week) with the flexibility to work remotely.

Responsibilities and Primary

Activities:

* Building new courses and revising current courses in the Canvas LMS using content provided by faculty.

* Assisting with the quality assurance review of courses.

* Providing maintenance of the faculty training courses.

* Managing the Instructional Design ticket queue and providing quick and friendly customer service.

* Assisting with the planning and facilitation of faculty development events.

* Focusing on other projects related to instructional design, curriculum, and assessment to best support team priorities.

* B.S. or B.A. degree required.

* Deliver outstanding customer service and be willing to go the extra mile for students, faculty, and staff.

* Excellent interpersonal skills are required.

* Excellent technology skills, including Microsoft Office.

* Driven to achieve team and individual goals.

* Other requirements include superior communication and organizational skills; ability to work independently and function within a team; and experience in working with diverse populations.

Preferred Qualifications:

* Instructional design experience desirable, preferred experience with Canvas LMS

* Experience with providing user training and support preferred.
