Financial Advisor - Capital City Bank
Monday - Friday, 40 Hours
General SummaryFinancial Advisors with Capital City Investments (CCI) deliver personalized investment solutions to help clients work toward their long‑term financial goals. They provide clients with specialist advice on how to manage their money via investment and insurance products based on clients’ needs and investment tolerance through LPL Financial, a registered Broker/Dealer, member FINRA and SIPC. Advisors must have the proper professional qualifications and follow strict financial industry rules, providing clients with unbiased financial investment advice.
This position requires the associate to drive on behalf of the Bank and adhere to the Bank’s Motor Vehicle Guidelines. All associates at Capital City Bank, Capital City Wealth, and Capital City Home Loans have access to confidential client information and must practice discretion at all times.
- Securing a sale
- Work directly with the Sales Manager to develop sales strategies and activities, with the expectation of exceeding production sales goals.
- Develop referral sources outside the Bank with existing clients, CPAs, attorneys, Bank associates and other related sources of investment business; this often requires outside business development calls.
- Be available to meet with clients and/or potential clients in person, in or out of the office; early morning and/or late evening meetings may be required based on client availability.
- Conduct in‑depth reviews of clients’ financial circumstances, current provision and future aims; analyze data and recommend investment options while advising of potential risks.
- Conduct risk analysis; research the marketplace and recommend appropriate products and services, ensuring clients understand products that best meet their needs, and then secure a sale.
- Cross‑refer Bank products and use financial planning tools.
- Attend Sales meetings, as determined by the Sales Manager, to discuss products, industry updates, tax implications and compliance matters; new sales techniques will also be introduced for future implementation.
- Provide additional support to the manager and department colleagues.
- Complete all assigned/required Bank training within established timelines.
Skills And Abilities
(KSAs) Required
The following KSAs are usually acquired through post‑high‑school education with specialized business training and two to five years of related experience.
- Proficiency in Word and Excel.

- Ability to network and establish relationships with clients and referral sources.

- Adherence to the Bank’s Motor Vehicle Guidelines.
FINRA licenses Series 7 and 66 are required to sell regulated investment products. Insurance licenses are also required. An associate or bachelor’s degree in business or finance from an accredited college is required; relevant experience may substitute for the education.
