Vector Talent Solutions is a veteran-owned workforce solutions firm dedicated to helping organizations identify, attract, and hire top talent. We are currently seeking a Case Machining Manager for a client within the Automotive Manufacturing industry.
Position OverviewOur client is seeking an experienced Production Manager to lead daily manufacturing operations within a fast-paced automotive production environment. This leadership role is responsible for driving safety, quality, productivity, cost, and delivery performance while developing high-performing teams, supporting continuous improvement initiatives, and ensuring compliance with company standards. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with automotive assembly experience who thrives in a collaborative, results-driven manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities- Lead and manage daily production operations to achieve safety, quality, productivity, cost, and delivery objectives.
- Supervise and develop production leaders and team members through coaching, training, performance management, and employee development.
- Monitor production performance, analyze metrics, and implement corrective actions to improve efficiency and eliminate root causes.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, 5S standards, quality systems (IATF 16949, ISO 14001, ISO 45001), and company policies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional departments to resolve production issues and support overall operational goals.
- Manage departmental budgets and identify continuous improvement opportunities to increase operational effectiveness.
- Foster a positive work environment through effective communication, employee engagement, and strong leadership.
- High school diploma or GED required;
Bachelor's degree preferred. - 7-10 years of manufacturing leadership experience, preferably in a Tier 1 automotive environment.
- Previous transmission or assembly manufacturing experience required.
- Strong knowledge of production management, quality systems, continuous improvement, and lean manufacturing principles.
- Experience using SAP, Microsoft Office Suite, ADP, and other manufacturing software systems.
- Proven leadership experience managing supervisors, group leaders, and production teams.
- Flexibility to work on day shift, with nights, weekends, holidays, overtime, and alternate shifts as business needs require.
