Position SummaryCommunicate product quality and quality problems. Provide training on quality work instructions and procedures. Promote positive team relations and lead by example.
Essential Functions Corporate- Treat all HTGP team members with respect and professional courtesy.
- Adhere to the HTGP policies and procedures and lead others in the same methods.
- Confirm and adhere to all required HTGP Certification standards such as IATF
16949, ISO 45001 & ISO 14001. - Always maintain a pro‑team member environment.
- Learn, demonstrate, and uphold the HTGP Core Values.
- Manage the department budget efficiently as per the approved annual budget.
- Perform special assignments as required by management.
- Adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
- Comply with all safety policies and 5S clean philosophy to maintain a safe, clean working environment.
- Consistently meet company safety goals.
- Assure processes are compliant with all APQP documentation.
- Assist the quality management team to implement an effective process audit system.
- Develop, maintain, and train on quality processes to meet internal and external customer requirements.
- Review quality checks/audits, records and reports for discrepancies and correct any issues found promptly.
- Communicate with the quality CKD specialist regarding CKD part quality issues.
- Work closely with quality team and manufacturing to resolve problems with parts, materials, tooling and processes affecting quality.
- Assist in any special project assigned to the quality department.
- Support all IATF
16949 activities and internal and external audits.
- Facilitate quality meetings as needed.
- Work with the quality team to implement the quality management system.
- Lead internal corrective action activities to resolve customer complaints and return transmission issues in accordance with HTGP CAR process.
- Direct and develop quality team leads through OJT, process training and skill development.
- Foster team member involvement in continuous improvement activities.
- Communicate effectively to management and team members.
- Enforce clean 5S philosophy to maintain a clean working environment.
- Build and sustain positive relationships with support departments and promote a positive workplace.
- Make recommendations to hire, terminate, and promote.
- Promote and enforce company policy.
- Schedule OT and coverage for PTO and FMLA.
- Create, update, and maintain all visual aids for new and existing models.
- Create training on new processes needed for the department.
- Maintain and track all training.
- Update and maintain COS.
- Complete evaluations for COS.
- Create QA for QC, Machining and other departments as needed.
- Maintain QA system on QC stations in MES.
- Place and release holds in MES for NG or suspect transmissions.
- Provide EO change information to team leaders and operators.
- Disposition scrap.
- Write ups for absenteeism, job performance, etc.
- Maintain offset change records tracking.
- High School / GED.
- 4‑Year Degree or comparable background of work experience.
* Equivalent work related experience (equivalency is generally considered as 2 years’ experience equaling 1 year of formal education) may be considered in addition to the “Position Requirement”.
