A growing aerospace and defense manufacturing organization is seeking an experienced Export Compliance Specialist to support domestic and international trade compliance activities.
This is a hands-on opportunity for someone with strong knowledge of ITAR, EAR, OFAC, export documentation, product classification, and controlled technical data
.
Administer export compliance activities under ITAR, EAR, OFAC, and U.S. Customs regulations.
Classify products, components, software, and technical data under ECCN and USML requirements.
Prepare and review commercial invoices, EEI filings, bills of lading, and certificates of origin.
Support export license applications and monitor license conditions and provisos.
Conduct restricted-party screening and maintain complete, audit-ready records.
Partner with Engineering, Supply Chain, Contracts, and Program Management on compliant shipments.
Support compliance audits, internal training, and corrective-action activities.
Identify potential compliance risks and recommend practical solutions.
3+years of export compliance, customs, or international trade compliance experience.
Working knowledge of International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
Experience with export classifications, restricted-party screening, licensing, and shipping documentation.
Aerospace, defense, government contracting, or regulated manufacturing experience strongly preferred.
Strong documentation, organization, and communication skills.
Experience with ERP or trade compliance software.
Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Certification: Certified Export Specialist (CES), Certified Customs Specialist (CCS), or comparable export compliance certification preferred.
U.S. citizenship is required due to access to export-controlled technical data.
This is a full-time, onsite position in the Golden Triangle region of Mississippi.
