Material Truck Loader
Qualified Staffing is looking to hire a Material Truck Loader for a West Point, MS industrial facility. This is a day shift position paying $16.00 per hour.
Duties include:
- Material Handling:
Operate overhead cranes, forklifts, and rigging equipment to maneuver material onto flatbed to ship. - Load Planning:
Review detailed shipping lists and pre-plan the placement of steel parts on flatbed trailers to ensure accurate order fulfillment. - Weight Distribution:
Strategically distribute weight between axles to meet highway safety standards. - Load Securing:
Use safety platform stairs onto flatbed trailers to apply chains, binders, straps, and dunnage (lumber/blocking) to prevent the load from shifting. - Quality Control & Tracking:
Verify piece marks and track outbound steel pieces against packing lists. - Safety Compliance:
Comply with company safety standards, wear required PPE (hard hats, steel-toed boots), and inspect equipment daily.
Qualified candidates will have 2+ years of experience in forklift and overhead crane operation.
