JOB SUMMARY The Certified LPN at North Mississippi Health Services plays a vital role in providing a wide variety of nursing functions to support the medical plan of care, adhering to hospital/departmental policies and procedures. Their responsibilities include patient care, documentation, teaching, and performing IV therapy, ensuring age-appropriate care and maintaining positive relations with patients, families, and medical staff. The LPN must possess problem‑solving skills to handle stressful situations and respond to changing patient needs effectively.

• Patient Care:
  Provides a wide variety of nursing functions to support the medical plan of care in compliance with hospital/departmental policies and procedures.
• Documentation:
  Assist in maintaining patient records through daily nursing summaries, Medicare charting, acute care charting and accurate medication administration records.
• Teaching:
  Provides patient/family teaching necessary for continuing care during and after discharge.
• IV Therapy:
  Performs IV therapy utilizing hospital guidelines.

• Education:
  
  Must have a High School Diploma or GED or higher. Continuing education requirements as defined apply.

  LPN
  - Licensed Practical Nurse
  - State Licensure; CPR
  - Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation.
