United Trades of America is seeking a local Journeyman Electrician for an upcoming heavy commercial project in WestPoint, MS. If you're looking for steady work close to home and want to be part of a team that values safety, reliability, and quality craftsmanship, we'd love to hear from you.
Position OverviewThis project offers full-time hours and consistent work for qualified electricians who live in or near the Denham Springs area. You'll be working alongside a skilled team on a fast-paced job site, performing tasks ranging from conduit installation and panel wiring to lighting and device installation. This is a local-only hire - there is no per diem or travel pay associated with this job.
Responsibilities- Install and repair electrical systems in accordance with local and national codes
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams
- Perform conduit bending, wire pulling, panel terminations, and fixture installations
- Ensure all work meets quality and safety standards
- Work effectively with a team and communicate progress to supervisors
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to the job site
- Must live locally or within reasonable commuting distance to Decatur, Alabama
- Journeyman: 4+ years of electrical experience and/or state or NCCER certification
- Must provide own hand tools and PPE (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, etc.)
- Ability to pass a drug screen and background check
- OSHA 10 or 30 is preferred but not required
